Cute restaurant and cozy vibe in a relatively obscure area. Couldn’t quite place their dishes but I’d say Asian fusion? Tried their prawn brown rice in broth and really enjoyed the flavour - a hint of ginger and just warms you from the inside on a chilly day. The dish itself feels healthy (the brown rice I suppose?) and the prawns and veg. Would return to try their other dishes!

I love every single thing about this place!!! It definitely feels like you’re being seated in the home of a Donna. The menu is the perfect size; not too much stuff but enough options for any craving. The shrimp salad sandwich is an even better version of a lobster roll. The mushroom sandwich is such a good vegetarian option. The crispy mushroom paired with the light bread and creamy aioli. The leafy lettuce salad was a great side with lots of crunch, a little zingy, and topped with buttery croutons. We ended with the caramelized sunflower seed cookie and it was the perfect way to end our meal! It was crispy and nutty and texturally really pleasing. They also have incredibly cute merch. I highly recommend coming here for a chill vibe and good food. I can’t wait to come back and try their dinner.

A lovely friend took me here for a belated bday dinner and I loved it! Such a hidden gem on the west end This spot is so vibey with such flavorful dishes - I was pleasantly surprised at how yummy each single dish was! The oysters are so fresh, along with the pea salad . My fave was the mushroom lasagna. The red snapper was delicious, but on the saltier side. We got their strawberry trifle for dessert and it was so yummy until we hit the wine jelly at the bottom (just too strong for me haha). The drinks were well-rounded and tasty too! It’s patio season now so we sat outside to enjoy the weather. The atmosphere was so lively and comforting! I would definitely come again to try their other dishes (and new ones as the menu changes)!

Today at lunchtime, we went to Donna’s and tried their sandwiches — and they were truly excellent. We loved the bread they use and the quality of their ingredients, especially the mushroom sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. I highly recommend this spot for a casual meal with friends or a relaxed date. It also seems like a great place to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or cocktails — although we didn’t try them this time, their drink menu looked quite extensive. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

This place is amazing! We tried the roast beef sandwich, tuna sandwich, and lamb burger - all were excellent. You don't necessarily expect a place that is serving sandwiches to have such incredible plating and quality ingredients - but Donna's absolutely does. The patio seating out front is very comfortable and sunny. The service is also really wonderful, and we noticed one of the staff (or maybe the owner) assisting a guest who stopped in the doorway of the restaurant in need of something to drink. You really get the vibe that the folks here care about their community and neighborhood. If I lived in Toronto, I'd be supporting this restaurant all the time!

I loved everything about this place. The vibe is awesome, and the service was good. The food however was AMAZING. My friend and I split the roast beef sandwich and the leafy salad for lunch and it was both incredible and filling. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!

Donna’s, Donna’s, Donna’s. This is probably my favourite place in the Junction Triangle. It’s got cute vibes with amazing food. For lunch - I recommend the leafy salad with mushroom sandwich. As a salad hater, I think this is what peak salad looks like. Soft leafy greens with buttery croutons and butter salad dressing. Everything is seasoned so well. The mushroom sandwich is also to die for, and really redefines what a good sandwich could be. So crunchy and flavourful! (Not what you’d expect a mushroom sandwich to be described as) For dinner - can’t go wrong with anything. Personally, I found the pork neck steak to be eye opening. It felt like a unique take on steak au poivre, which I enjoyed. I also liked the tartare. The liver toast was good but was a little heavy for my taste. They have a rotating menu, it may have already changed. Overall, would recommend. Whether it be for a light lunch or a celebratory dinner, this place can do it all.
